Service Area: Scott County, IA & Rock Island County, IL
Reports to: General Manager / Scheduling Manager / Owner

About the Role:

At Home Instead®, our Care Professionals provide compassionate, non-medical support that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their own homes. We are currently hiring for early morning shifts with a requirement of being available every other weekend. If you're dependable, caring, and have a heart for helping others, we want to hear from you!

This role is especially well-suited for individuals with CNA experience or other caregiving backgrounds who are looking to make a difference in a home-based setting—without the demands of a clinical environment.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Use your CNA or caregiving experience to make a real impact.

  • Provide essential support during early morning hours, helping clients start their day with dignity.

  • Be part of a team that values reliability, compassion, and commitment.

  • Serve clients in Scott County (IA) and Rock Island County (IL)—mileage reimbursement is available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate companionship and meaningful interaction.

  • Assist with non-medical personal care such as grooming, bathing support, and toileting.

  • Help clients safely move throughout their home or transfer using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts.

  • Support clients with morning routines, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments.

  • Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and errands.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and report any changes in client condition.

Requirements:

  • Availability for early morning shifts (e.g., starting as early as 6:00 AM).

  • Every other weekend availability is required.

  • Experience in caregiving; CNA certification preferred but not required.

  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance (must be willing to drive throughout our service area).

  • Ability to pass background checks through IDPH, a drug test, and driving record review.

  • Comfort with light physical activity (standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs).

  • Basic technology skills for training and documentation.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Dependability: Clients and teammates can count on you to show up on time and ready to help.

  • Empathy: You genuinely care about the well-being of others.

  • Communication: You speak kindly, clearly, and respectfully.

  • Flexibility: You're adaptable to each client's home and changing needs.

  • Initiative: You take action without always needing direction.

If you’re ready to bring your compassion and dependability to a fulfilling caregiving role with a trusted local team, apply today. We’re excited to meet professionals who are eager to support older adults in Scott County and Rock Island County—especially those available for early mornings and every other weekend!
